Iztapa
The best right wave in Guatemala made out of two jetties in the river mouth of Maria Linda. A quiet and safe fisherman town.

- Direction: Long right with a left hollow backdoor.
- Crowd: 10-20 people just on weekends.
- Size: 3 – 12 ft.
- Tide: Low to high (incoming tide)
- Distance from the city: 115km / 71.5 miles

Juan Gaviota
Surfing Paradise in Guatemala a private and exclusive complex

Champerico
The best-left wave in Guatemala, the most distant surf town from the city
A fisherman town which was the first and most important port in Guatemala, just 3 hours away from Mexico border
It has 4 different category and prices accommodations
- Type of wave: Beach break: short brake next to the old pier really hollow and fast.
- LA DARSENA: Man made marina with 2 jetties which works as a left point break, hollow fast and constant, when it is working is the 2nd longest wave in Guatemala.
- Crowd: 5 – 10 on weekdays and 10 – 20 on the weekends. Most crowded wave in Guatemala.
- Size: 3 – 12 ft.

Sipacate
Deep water beach break has lefts and rights, 3 different beach breaks in a 2km range (Los pinos, La Empalizada and Rancho Mar Maya) although of the distance the breaking spots are different and constantly changing. A really quiet and peaceful town with not much to do but surf.
